2026 Sustainability Report highlights

  • SBTi-validated climate target

    The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated GF’s near-term target to cut absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline and to engage suppliers representing 76% of our Scope 3 upstream emissions from purchased goods, services and capital goods to set science-based targets of their own by 2030

  • Lowest injury rates in company history

    With a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) of 0.07 and a lost time incident rate (LTIR) of 0.05, GF surpassed its 2025 safety goals — continuing our Journey to Zero and setting a new safety benchmark across all our global fabs.

  • Recognized among net-zero leaders

    GF was named to Forbes’ Net Zero Leaders, Newsweek’s America’s Greenest Companies and USA Today’s America’s Climate Leaders — and earned CDP scores of “B” for Climate Change and “A−” for Water Security.

  • Powering AI efficiently

    Our differentiated technologies — including Silicon Photonics and new gallium nitride (GaN) power solutions — deliver high-efficiency data and power for AI data centers, electric vehicles and renewable energy, building sustainability into the solutions we make.

  • Top-tier sustainability ratings

    Independent raters affirm our progress: a Sustainalytics “Low Risk” rating, an ISS “Prime” rating in the top decile, and an S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment placing GF in the top 10% of the semiconductor industry.

  • A global lighthouse for smart manufacturing

    The World Economic Forum named GF’s Singapore fab to its Global Lighthouse Network, recognizing our use of AI, IoT and advanced analytics to drive productivity, sustainability and workforce development.
