In keeping with its commitment to conduct business in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner, and pursuant to Section 135 of the Indian Companies Act, the Board of Directors of GLOBALFOUNDRIES Engineering Private Limited ("GLOBALFOUNDRIES India") has approved a CSR policy which is available here. Through this policy GLOBALFOUNDRIES India supports initiatives that have a demonstrable impact and provide direct benefits to the communities in which it conducts its major operations.

Conflict Minerals

GF is aware of the concerns that sourcing of certain metals (Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten and Gold) used in electronics products may contribute to financing the armed conflict marked by severe human right abuses in conflict regions in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries.

To address these serious concerns, GF has established a conflict minerals policy which prohibits sourcing that contributes to financing armed conflict and human right abuses in the conflict regions in the DRC and adjoining countries.

As of January 2016, all GF sourcing of Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten and Gold is from smelters included in the Responsible Minerals Initiative's (RMI) list of compliant smelters maintained through the RMI’s Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP). GF is a member of the RMI and is proud to have achieved a fully DRC Conflict-Free supply chain.
