HIVE internship program

While completing your studies, you can gain hands-on experience in microelectronics at our Sofia office, supported by experienced mentors and trainers. We offer flexible working hours to fit your academic schedule, along with access to on-the-job training, classroom and blended learning and 24/7 online learning resources to help you grow.

Our internship program offers a temporary position at GF. The duration of the internship is up to 18 months and includes a monthly paid scholarship. Interns work 20 hours per week, according to their university schedules. Interns collaborate with a mentor to support work in their respective departments.

Internship in electronic design automation (EDA)

Program Modules:

  • Basic training on Cadence IC Design Environment, Virtuoso Schematic and Layout editors, Spectre Simulator and more
  • Work with best-in-class GF process design kits (PDKs) for IC design
  • Hands-on experience with the full set of IC physical verification tools, including:
    • Design Rule Check (DRC)
    • Layout versus Schematic (LVS)
    • Parasitic Extraction (PEX)

Prospective interns must be at least a second-year active student.
