Careers Home GlobalGives When it comes to philanthropy, employees in every major GF site make a difference by generously volunteering their time and donating goods and money to support a wide range of causes, helping to improve the quality of life in the communities we call home. Through our GlobalGives donation platform, GF has helped communities around the world respond to and rebuild from floods, hurricanes, wildfires and other disasters. STEM GF has hosted STEM panels for local high schools, answering questions about their experience as young engineers in the semiconductor industry. GF has partnered with the Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY to host a six-week virtual STEM Summer Camp instilling a love of science and technology in hundreds of girls over the years. Activity kits and iPads were also donated by GF to the Children’s Cancer Foundation PAL Program in support of STEM outreach. GF works with the community to offer various STEM programs for kids, such as trips to museums and planetariums. Walks, Runs, Bikerides GF has participated in countless walks, runs, and bike rides to help benefit causes such as ALS, Diabetes, MS, the Breast Cancer foundation and more! GlobalGirls GLOBALGirls, an annual summer STEM camp for middle school girls launched to inspire our next generation of female science and technology leaders and address the gender gap in manufacturing. Holiday Giving Events & Environmental (Global) GlobalGives has facilitated numerous localized campaigns, including food drives, school supplies and holiday gifts for children, and annual Earth Day volunteerism. COVID Efforts GF has been supporting the fight against COVID-19 globally through mask & PPE donations, mobile testing stations, and both company & employee donations. In response, employee donations surged to unprecedented levels, supporting a wide range of nonprofits across the world in their battle against the pandemic, helping first responders and those in need in every GF location. In 2020, GF and our employees donated over $2M in the fight against this global threat. Grants Every year GF with the partnership of the Town of Stillwater Foundation awards grants to eligible non-profits as well as athletic, social, and community-based organizations. The Foundation has invested more than $450,000 in the Stillwater community since 2011. Patriot Award In November 2020, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s (ESGR) Patriot Award was presented to Fab 10 employee, Daniel Terralavoro, Sr. Mgr. / Deputy Director Facilities Engineering in East Fishkill, NY. The Patriot Award reflects GF’s efforts to support our employees who are currently serving or have served in the military. Polar Plunge GF Burlington participated in their first Polar Plunge, a yearly fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics in Vermont. GF employees raised a total of $6,450 and took a leap into the icy waters of Lake Champlain! Hair for Hope GlobalGives has also amplified GF Singapore’s annual “Hair for Hope” campaign, which has a fifteen-year history of generously supporting the Children’s Cancer Fund. Over the past 15 years, the campaign has raised almost $1M in company and employee donations to help find a cure for childhood cancers and to support families affected by cancer. GF also dedicated their Global Christmas Choir song to the CCF.
