Kannan Soundarapandian

Kannan Soundarapandian is Senior Vice President of Power at GF, a position he was appointed to in May 2026. In this role, Mr. Soundarapandian leads the company’s power semiconductor strategy, with a particular focus on building a differentiated power business targeting emerging high-growth opportunities.

Prior to joining GF, Mr. Soundarapandian served as Vice President and General Manager of the High Voltage Products division at Texas Instruments, a multi-P&L organization spanning GaN, high-voltage power and advanced isolation technologies across automotive, industrial and data center markets.

Mr. Soundarapandian has more than 22 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with deep technical roots in analog and mixed-signal design and more than a decade in product and R&D leadership before transitioning to successive P&L roles. Across his career, he has built power businesses from early-stage investment to incumbency, with a track record of entering new markets and systematically scaling them to leadership.

Mr. Soundarapandian holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Annamalai University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. He completed executive education at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
