Trusted Foundry: The Proven Security Solution

The Trusted Foundry Program is the fastest, most cost effective, and most efficient process for the U.S. Department of Defense to obtain the microelectronics it needs.

The proven Trusted Foundry Program is the DoD’s strongest assurance of a company’s ability to produce uncompromised chips for aerospace and defense systems.

  • GF meets the U.S. government’s highest security standards for all aspects of designing and producing classified, secure semiconductor components.
  • GF is the largest and most advanced foundry in the Trusted Foundry network, and the only one capable of producing essential chips at scale.
  • GF’s fabs in New York and Vermont employ the most stringent processes, equipment, and oversight necessary for protecting sensitive information and manufacturing chips with the highest levels of security.

Chips not following this approach risk being compromised and subsequently—remotely or otherwise—triggered to shut down a system or perform other damaging actions by those with ill intents. We must prevent this from happening, to protect both national and economic security.”
