Our working students are student trainees who support the routine work in the respective departments. They hold a temporary position at GF, where they work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester and a maximum of 40 hours per week during semester breaks. Working students are paid hourly according to their level of training, qualifications, and practical experience.

As a compulsory or voluntary intern, you play a supporting role in our departments while simultaneously gaining valuable experience. You will work 40 hours per week and receive a monthly paycheck.

Another opportunity is to prepare for your working life by doing your diploma, master’s, or bachelor’s thesis at GF. Working with a team of experienced experts, you will conclude your studies competently with a practical orientation. Since no work at GF goes unpaid you will receive an appropriate monthly salary.

This offer is directed to students of all universities and courses of study. We have open positions in our engineering and manufacturing departments, human resources, finance, and many more.

General conditions for student positions:

Minimum duration 6 months
You must be enrolled as a student; student positions are not available to diploma holders
Basic educational knowledge in field of interest is necessary

Student Opportunities in Sofia

At our Sofia-based office, while you are still doing your studies, you can start gaining some practical experience in the field. The knowledge that you will gain will put you off to a great start for your future career.

The co-op program offers a temporary position at GF. The duration of the internship is 1-1,5 years. You will be working 20 hours per week, according to your university schedule. There is also a monthly paid scholarship, as an additional motivation. You will be working with a mentor to support the routine work in the respective departments.

Many students work while still studying. What better way to figure out if you can imagine yourself working in such an environment, than by gaining first-hand experience. GlobalFoundries offers even further development after you have finished your internship.
