Applicant Requirements and Program Details Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years of age or older to apply. The apprenticeship is an 18-month Maintenance Technician training program. Training includes a combination of on-the-job training, instructor-led classes, web-based courses, and college courses. Required college courses are available online through Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC).
