Matt Krupnick

Matt Krupnick

Matt Krupnick is Vice President of Global Government Affairs at GF, where he oversees global public policy advocacy and government outreach to advance the company’s priorities.

Mr. Krupnick joined GF in 2023, bringing more than two decades of public policy and legal experience. He has extensive experience building and leading global policy functions within the technology industry, having held roles at Dell Technologies, Red Hat/IBM, Sabre and National Instruments. Mr. Krupnick began his career as a legal counselor and litigator, managing complex litigation at the global law firm Jones Day.

Mr. Krupnick holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.B.A from Texas Tech University.

Colin Born

Colin Born

Colin Born is Vice President of Corporate Development at GF, responsible for driving the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

Mr. Born joined GF in 2024, bringing more than 25 years of experience in high-tech and consumer strategy, acquisitions and investments. Prior to joining GF, he served as the senior vice president of Corporate Development at Druva, a global leader in enterprise data protection. Prior to that, he was head of Corporate Development at Zoom Video Communications, where he built and led Zoom Ventures. Throughout his career, Mr. Born has also held various senior leadership roles with technology companies including Cypress Semiconductor, GoPro, Qualcomm and Atheros Communications.

Mr. Born holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College.

Yew Kong Tan

Yew Kong Tan

Yew Kong Tan is Senior Vice President and General Manager of APAC Manufacturing and the GF Singapore site. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing GF’s business at the Singapore site and managing strategic manufacturing partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.

Previously, Mr. Tan served as general manager of both GF’s 300mm and 200mm manufacturing operations in Singapore. Under his leadership, the fabs achieved significant improvements across key metrics, including quality, yield, cost, delivery and customer satisfaction.

He has been a driving force behind GF’s digital manufacturing transformation, leading the successful scale-up of Industry 4.0 solutions across the company, including GF’s 300mm Fab in Singapore which was named to the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network of advanced manufacturers in 2025.

Mr. Tan is Vice Chairman of the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association and a member of the SEMI Southeast Asia Regional Advisory Board. He also serves on the Technology and Innovation Committee under the Singapore Government’s Economic Strategy Review.

A 30-year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Mr. Tan holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Manfred Horstmann

Manfred Horstmann serves as General Manager and Senior Vice President at GlobalFoundries (GF), overseeing European fabs, including GF’s 300mm manufacturing facility in Dresden. He also leads the GlobalFoundries Engineering Services (GFES) teams in Singapore, Penang, Bangalore, and Malaysia, supporting GF’s global manufacturing operations.

Since 2020, he has transformed the Dresden Fab cluster into Europe’s largest 300mm wafer facility, achieving a two and a half output increase in less than three years, boosting productivity and strategically optimizing operations. He and his team led the development and production of a highly differentiated technology portfolio (55nm-22nm) for applications in fast growing markets such as automotive, MCUs, display drivers, audio amplifiers, security chip cards, radio frequency (RF) and 5G technology.

With over 27 years of experience in multiple leadership positions in spanning research, technology development, product engineering, and large-scale operations, Mr. Horstmann has held leadership roles at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Motorola, and IBM in Germany and the United States.

Mr. Horstmann holds over 100 patents, has authored more than 200 scientific papers and serves on advisory boards for Forschungszentrum Jülich and Nanoelectronic Materials Laboratory. Mr. Horstmann earned his Diploma and PhD in Physics from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen.

Camilla Languille

Camilla Languille

Camilla Languille was elected to the board of directors in September 2024.

Ms. Languille is currently Co-Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Investment Company’s Private Equity platform, which executes global direct investments in buyout and growth equity and actively manages a portfolio targeting growth-oriented companies across a range of sectors, including Healthcare, Consumer, Technology, Financial Services, Industrial & Business Services, and Energy & Sustainability.

Ms. Languille is Co-Chair of Mubadala’s Private Equity Platform Investment Committee and a member of Mubadala’s Group Investment Committee. Ms. Languille has been with Mubadala Private Equity since 2013 and has been instrumental in leading the buildout of its Healthcare portfolio and investments team. As the Head of Healthcare, Ms. Languille was responsible for executing investments in PCI Pharma, Envirotainer, Evotec, and Norstella, amongst others, and for building a 25-person global investments team across Abu Dhabi, New York, London, and Beijing. Prior to launching Mubadala’s Healthcare business, Ms. Languille was responsible for managing its semiconductor portfolio, overseeing its investment in GF and leading the monetization of Mubadala’s shareholding in Advanced Micro Devices. She began her career in Mubadala working with the Utilities and Mining portfolios.

Prior to joining Mubadala, Ms. Languille previously worked in M&A for Daiwa Capital and Société Générale based in Paris, as well as in investments for Virgin Group in London, where she managed the Special Situations portfolio and helped to launch Virgin Healthcare. She began her career in Healthcare M&A for JPMorgan in New York and London.

Ms. Languille currently serves on the boards of Evotec SE and PCI Pharma Services.

Ms. Languille holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Political Science from Columbia University.

Greg Pedersen

Greg Pedersen

Greg Pedersen is the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) at GF, responsible for overseeing the company’s global accounting, internal control and financial reporting operations. 

Mr. Pedersen joined GF in 2024, bringing over two decades of experience in financial reporting, internal control and auditing, as well as financial strategy, planning and analysis, while working with and leading international teams. Prior to joining GF, he served in a variety of roles including Global Controller, Vice President of Supply Chain Finance, Vice President of Manufacturing Finance and Assistant Controller at Stryker. Mr. Pedersen has a successful track record of leading SEC and financial reporting, internal control, technical accounting and financial compliance, along with strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis for the procurement and manufacturing functions. Prior to his time at Stryker, Mr. Pedersen was at Kimberly-Clark and Nationstar Mortgage, after spending the first decade of his career at Deloitte and Touche, developing a strong foundation in financial, audit and internal control compliance. 

Mr. Pedersen is a Certified Public Accountant and holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Faisal Saleem

Faisal Saleem

Faisal Saleem is Senior Vice President, Head of End Markets Strategy and Business Development, a position he was appointed to in 2023. Mr. Saleem leads a team of technical experts responsible for deep understanding of customer needs and emerging trends across various end-use sectors, and for aligning GF’s product development plans accordingly.

Mr. Saleem initially joined GF in 2007 as a sales account executive, rising through various roles with a proven track record of creating value for customers, driving sales and business development at strategic accounts, and building successful teams. He was appointed vice president of U.S. sales in 2019 and took on the role of vice president of commercial strategy and operations in 2021. Prior to joining GF, Mr. Saleem served in a variety of engineering roles at Vitesse Semiconductor, Agere Systems Lucent Technologies and Cirrus Logic.

Mr. Saleem holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Lehigh University.

Shankaran Janardhanan

Shankaran Janardhanan

Shankaran Janardhanan is Senior Vice President of Radio Frequency (RF) Business at GF, a position he was appointed to in 2025. In this role, Mr. Janardhanan leads the company’s RF business organization that enables customers to deliver solutions for smart mobile devices, home and industrial Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, communications infrastructure and data center.

Mr. Janardhanan joined GF in 2011 and has served in various leadership roles including vice president of the Smart Mobile Devices business unit, where he expanded business in GF’s largest end market, providing customers with differentiated connectivity, display, audio, imaging and power management technology solutions. Prior to that position, Mr. Janardhanan led GF’s Mobile RF business, which doubled in size under his leadership, and supported by the acquisition of the IBM Microelectronics business in 2015, broadening GF’s differentiated RF portfolio and manufacturing footprint. In a previous role at GF, he managed RF & Power management business development and field applications.

Prior to GF, he held various roles in design engineering, technology and product management for RF and Micro Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) products at TowerJazz.

Mr. Janardhanan holds an MBA from the University of California–Berkeley and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Temple University.

Kamal Khouri

Kamal Khouri

Kamal Khouri is Senior Vice President of Feature-rich CMOS Business at GF, the company’s largest business covering differentiated CMOS technology platforms that enable customers to deliver solutions for the automotive, home and industrial Internet of Things (IoT), smart mobile devices and aerospace & defense markets. He was appointed to this role in 2023.

Prior to his current role, he was GF’s vice president of automotive, leading a world-class team to deliver solutions fueling the transformation of modern mobility and vehicles, a position he held since 2020.

Mr. Khouri has more than 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining GF, he led the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) MPU business within NXP’s automotive division, delivering innovative advanced driver assistance technologies. Mr. Khouri also served in various engineering, product management, business development and strategy roles at Motorola, Freescale and AMD, holds several patents and has published over 25 technical journal and conference papers.

Mr. Khouri holds a degree in electrical engineering from Bucknell University and a master’s and Ph.D. from Princeton University.

Nancy Kelly

Nancy Kelly

Nancy Kelly is Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at GF, a position she was appointed to in 2024. In this role, she leads both the marketing and communications functions, overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive strategies to elevate the company’s brand, corporate and internal communications and marketing efforts.

Ms. Kelly brings nearly two decades of experience in semiconductor marketing and communications with expertise in campaigns, public relations, content marketing, marketing operations, portfolio marketing, regional marketing, sales enablement, and website management. Prior to joining GF, Ms. Kelly served as Vice President of Brand Marketing at Texas Instruments. Previously, she held a variety of senior leadership positions across TI’s marketing and communications organizations.

Ms. Kelly holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
